What is the correlation between Montgomery Armored Car Service, Inc. and MACS Courier Service, LLC?

MACS Courier Service, LLC is a division of and wholly-owned by Montgomery Armored Car Service, Inc.  One family owns Montgomery Armored Car Service, Inc. (MACS, Inc.) and runs both Montgomery Armored and MACS Courier.

Who needs a courier?

It is estimated that 90% of all businesses need a courier at some point.  Because couriers can transport almost anything, if your business is listed in the phone book, you could use a courier!

What is the difference between a MACS driver and an independent contractor?

It is extremely hard to define exactly what constitutes an independent contractor due to pending legislation, but traditionally an independent contractor was given generic information about pickup and delivery locations and it is their responsibility to get the work done.  The company hiring the independent contractor has no real control over the quality of work done.  On the other hand, all MACS drivers are employees; therefore, management can direct them on proper handling instructions, deadlines, and critique their work.  At all times MACS is in control of the work being completed.

What areas do you service for courier and freight?

Both the Montgomery and Birmingham office have full interstate authority, so we frequently deliver loads coast to coast.  On a daily basis, each facility covers an average of 350 mile radius of their office.

What are your hours of operation?

Due to the nature of our business, we are open 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.  We always have personnel standing by ready for your needs.
